Mandatory Display of FSSAI License / Registeration number on reciepts/cash memos/invoices/bills etc.

With the approval of Food Authority and vide Order dated 8th June, 2021, it has now been decided to mandate the declaration of 14 digit FSSAI license or Registration number on invoices/bills/cash memo etc. by all food businesses w.e.f 01st October, 2021.
Mentioning of FSSAI license / Registration number shall enable the consumers to have access to information about a particular food business which is publically available at FSSAI's portals. Consumers can visit the FSSAI's portal and "Food safety connect" app for acessing information about FSSAI License or Registration by inputtng the 14 digit license / regsitration number.
Licensing and Registration authorities are directed to widely publicise the policy and shall ensure its implementation mandatorily w.e.f 01st Oct, 2021.
